Are you an experienced Health and Social Care curriculum leader looking for an interim management opportunity within further education?
About the Role
We're recruiting an Interim Head of Health and Social Care on behalf of a further education provider in the North West. You'll take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and performance of the curriculum area, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning and learner outcomes.
You’ll work closely with senior leaders and other curriculum areas, taking ownership of the department from day one.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing the Health and Social Care teaching team.
- Overseeing curriculum delivery, planning and quality.
- Monitoring learner attendance, progress, achievement and retention.
- Supporting and managing staff performance and development.
- Ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
- Monitoring curriculum KPIs and contributing to improvement planning.
- Managing day-to-day operational issues within the department.
What We're Looking For
- A professional background in Health and Social Care
- Previous curriculum or departmental leadership experience within further education
- Strong understanding of FE curriculum delivery and quality
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience working at Head of Department, Curriculum Manager, Curriculum Area Manager, Programme Manager or Head of Faculty level
- Professional background in Health and Social Care
- Previous curriculum or departmental leadership experience within further education
