Interim Estates and Facilities Manager (Temporary)

A further education provider in the North West is looking for an experienced Interim Estates and Facilities Manager to take the lead on its estate and facilities function.
You'll oversee the day-to-day running of the provider's buildings and grounds, making sure the environment is safe, compliant and well maintained for staff and learners alike. Working closely with senior colleagues, you'll keep services running smoothly and respond quickly where issues arise.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day operation of estates and facilities services across the provider's sites.
- Ensuring buildings, grounds and equipment are safe, compliant and well maintained.
- Leading and supporting the estates and facilities team.
- Overseeing contractors and service providers to make sure work is delivered to standard.
- Supporting health and safety compliance and statutory inspections.
- Working with senior colleagues to plan and prioritise maintenance and improvement work.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing estates and facilities services
- Strong working knowledge of health, safety and statutory compliance in a built environment
- Experience of leading teams and managing contractors
- Confident communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
- Availability to start at the end of September 2026
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience within further education or a similar large, multi-site organisation
- A relevant estates, facilities or health and safety qualification
