About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North East to deliver engaging sport programmes across theory and practical sessions. You'll plan and teach lessons that bring industry practice into the classroom, and support learners to achieve and progress.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Teaching and assessing learners on sport programmes across theory and practical delivery.
- Planning lessons, schemes of work and assessment materials.
- Tracking learner progress and supporting achievement, retention and progression.
- Providing guidance and pastoral support to learners throughout their programme.
What We're Looking For
- A relevant qualification in sport or a closely related subject
- Industry or coaching experience within the sport sector
- The ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching or assessing qualification
- Previous experience of teaching in further education
If you don't yet hold a teaching qualification, you'll be supported to gain one — industry professionals moving into teaching are welcome to apply.
