Recruitment for education and the public sector

Are you an experienced music professional looking to inspire the next generation of musicians?

About the Role

You'll join a further education provider in the East Midlands, delivering music teaching across studio and classroom settings. You'll draw on your own experience of the industry to bring the subject to life for learners preparing for careers in music and the wider creative sector.

You'll plan and deliver practical and theory sessions, assess learner work and support individuals to progress, working alongside an established curriculum team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, industry-relevant sessions in music.
  • Teaching and assessing learners in both studio and classroom environments.
  • Developing teaching and learning resources that reflect current industry practice.
  • Assessing learner work and giving timely, constructive feedback.
  • Monitoring learner progress and supporting individuals to achieve their qualifications.
  • Contributing to high standards of teaching, learning and assessment within the curriculum team.

What We're Looking For

  • Industry experience in music
  • Strong practical and technical knowledge of your subject area
  • Enthusiasm for supporting and motivating learners

Desirable (but not essential):

  • A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
  • Previous experience of teaching, assessing or instructing learners

If you're ready to pass your experience on to the next generation of musicians, we'd love to hear from you.

A real person, not an automated email. If we are not the right fit for you we will say so quickly rather than leave you waiting.

  • Strong practical and technical knowledge of music
  • Enthusiasm for supporting and motivating learners
