Recruitment for education and the public sector

Are you an experienced bricklayer or construction professional looking to pass your trade on to the next generation?

About the Role

You'll join the Construction team at a further education provider, teaching Brickwork across Levels 1 to 3 in both workshop and classroom settings. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with genuine industry experience who wants to share that knowledge with learners building their own careers in the trade.

You’ll help shape the next generation of bricklayers and ground operatives, bringing your practical background and passion for the subject into every session.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching Brickwork to learners across Levels 1 to 3 in workshop and classroom environments.
  • Planning and delivering engaging, practical sessions that reflect current industry standards.
  • Supporting learners to develop both technical skills and the wider employability skills needed in the construction sector.
  • Assessing learner progress and providing constructive, developmental feedback.

What We're Looking For

  • At least a Level 3 qualification in Brickwork
  • Varied experience working in the Construction Industry
  • A passion for the subject and a genuine desire to train the next generation of tradespeople

Desirable (but not essential):

  • A teacher training qualification
  • A relevant assessor award
  • A willingness to work towards either qualification if not already held

What We Offer

  • 51 days paid holiday per year
  • Membership of the Teachers' Pension Scheme
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Free annual flu jabs
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme

If you're ready to bring your trade expertise into the classroom and help train the bricklayers of tomorrow, we'd love to hear from you.

A real person, not an automated email. If we are not the right fit for you we will say so quickly rather than leave you waiting.
