Faculty Director - Health & Life Sciences
Temporary | Contract
Location: the South East
Are you an experienced further education curriculum leader with a strong background in Health and Life Sciences?
About the Role
Working with a further education provider in the South East, you'll take responsibility for the leadership, management and performance of the Health and Life Sciences faculty, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across the provision.
You'll lead and support curriculum teams, drive quality improvement and work closely with senior leaders to deliver strong outcomes for learners.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing teaching and support staff across the faculty.
- Overseeing curriculum delivery, planning and quality.
- Monitoring learner attendance, progress, achievement and retention.
- Managing staff performance, development and day-to-day operational issues.
- Monitoring curriculum KPIs and contributing to improvement planning.
- Working with senior leaders and other curriculum areas to drive continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Significant further education experience within Health, Science or a closely related area
- Experience of curriculum or faculty leadership and line management
- A track record of improving quality of provision and learner outcomes
- Experience of using data and KPIs to drive improvement
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- A full teaching qualification
- Experience of leading teams through inspection
