Recruitment for education and the public sector

Are you an experienced early years professional looking to support learners as they build their occupational competence?

About the role

You'll assess learners working towards early years qualifications for a further education provider, evaluating their competence in both the workplace and the classroom.

Working closely with learners, tutors and employers, you'll carry out assessments against national standards, monitor progress and give the constructive feedback learners need to achieve. You'll also build and maintain strong relationships with local employers to secure and sustain quality placement opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing learners and apprentices against national standards in the workplace and in the college environment.
  • Conducting regular progress reviews and tracking individual learner achievement.
  • Providing timely, constructive feedback to support learners towards completion.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with local early years employers.
  • Travelling to employer premises to carry out workplace assessments.
  • Maintaining accurate assessment records in line with awarding body requirements.
  • Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA), TAQA, A1 or equivalent

About you

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds a minimum Level 3 NVQ/VRQ in Early Years or as a Teaching Assistant
  • Has recent, practical experience across early years education and care
  • Has experience assessing early years learners
  • Is well organised, with strong administrative and IT skills
  • Holds a valid driving licence and has access to transport for travel between employer sites

If you're ready to help the next generation of early years practitioners prove what they can do, we'd love to hear from you.

A real person, not an automated email. If we are not the right fit for you we will say so quickly rather than leave you waiting.
