About the Role
You'll plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons to learners working across a range of abilities, adapting your teaching so that every student can access the subject and make progress.
You'll track attainment, prepare learners for their qualifications and work alongside colleagues to support engagement, attendance and progression.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality Chemistry lessons.
- Adapting teaching and resources to meet individual learner needs.
- Monitoring, assessing and tracking learner progress.
- Supporting learners to achieve their Chemistry qualifications.
- Building positive relationships and promoting engagement in the subject.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
What We're Looking For
- Strong Chemistry subject knowledge
- A recognised teaching qualification such as QTS, QTLS, PGCE, Cert Ed or DET
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- The ability to differentiate effectively for individual needs
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience teaching within a further education setting
