About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Business and Accounting Lecturer to join a further education provider in the West Midlands. You'll deliver engaging teaching across business and accounting programmes, drawing on your own experience to bring the subject to life for learners preparing for careers in business, finance and accountancy.
You’ll plan and prepare your sessions, assess learners’ work and support them through their studies, helping them build the knowledge, skills and confidence they’ll need to progress.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging teaching across business and accounting programmes.
- Planning and developing lesson plans, schemes of work and learning resources.
- Assessing learners’ work and providing constructive feedback.
- Monitoring learner progress and supporting achievement.
- Providing academic and pastoral guidance to learners.
- Contributing to curriculum development and maintaining accurate course records.
What We're Looking For
- A relevant qualification in business, accounting or finance
- Occupational knowledge and experience of the subject area
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to supporting learners to achieve
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching or training in a further education setting
