Aircraft Maintenance Assessor
Temporary | Contract
Location: the South East
Are you an experienced aircraft maintenance professional looking to support the next generation of technicians?
About the Role
Working with a further education provider in the South East, you'll assess and support learners working towards aircraft maintenance qualifications, helping them build the technical skills and occupational competence the industry expects.
You'll plan and carry out assessments, track progress against standards, and give clear, constructive feedback that keeps learners moving towards successful completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing learners' practical and theoretical work against aircraft maintenance qualification requirements.
- Monitoring and recording learner progress, and providing constructive feedback.
- Supporting, guiding and mentoring learners in developing their occupational competence.
- Preparing learners for assessments, qualifications and progression into employment.
- Working with colleagues across the team to maintain high standards of assessment practice.
What We're Looking For
- Relevant aircraft maintenance qualification and industry experience
- Strong technical knowledge of aircraft maintenance practice
- Ability to support and motivate learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous experience of assessing or teaching in a further education setting
- Aircraft maintenance industry experience
- Strong technical knowledge of aircraft maintenance practice
