We are currently recruiting for an experienced Lecturer in Post-16 Transition Studies to join a Further Education college in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for an education professional with experience supporting young people with SEND and additional learning needs, helping learners develop the skills, confidence and independence required for their next steps beyond college.
The Role
- Deliver engaging Post-16 Transition Studies sessions to learners with SEND and additional needs
- Support learners to develop independence, employability, communication and life skills
- Plan and deliver differentiated, learner-centred programmes
- Monitor learner progress and contribute to individual support and development plans
- Work closely with Learning Support, SEND and wider college teams
- Help learners prepare for employment, further education, independent living and adult life
About You
- Experience teaching or supporting learners within FE, SEND, specialist education or post-16 settings
- Relevant teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DET or equivalent
- Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive teaching practice
- Experience planning and delivering engaging learning activities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Passionate about helping young people achieve their potential and progress into adulthood
