Are you passionate about supporting young people and adults with SEND to develop greater independence, confidence and life skills? We are looking for an Independence & Inclusion Coach to provide personalised support to learners with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group SEND coaching
- Help learners develop independence, communication and decision-making skills
- Support learners to work towards their EHCP outcomes
- Provide welfare and academic support
- Advise staff on SEND and inclusive practice
- Support learner mobility, personal care and moving/handling where required
- Maintain accurate learner records and monitor progress
- Work closely with teaching and support teams
About You
- Experience supporting young people and/or adults with SEND
- Good understanding of EHCPs
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A relevant SEND, education, coaching or support qualification
- A genuine passion for helping learners develop independence
