Are you an experienced construction professional looking to pass your trade on to the next generation?

About the Role

As a Multi Skills Lecturer with a further education provider, you'll deliver engaging theory and practical workshop sessions across multi-skills construction programmes, helping learners build the technical skills, industry standards knowledge and employability prospects they need to progress.

You'll teach across a range of levels and abilities, bringing current industry practice into your teaching and adapting your approach so every learner can succeed. If you haven't taught before, that's no barrier β€” you'll be supported to work towards a recognised teaching qualification.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality classroom and workshop teaching across multi-skills construction programmes.

  • Teaching and assessing learners at a range of levels, including full-time students and apprentices.

  • Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities that support progression and achievement.

  • Providing timely, constructive feedback that helps learners improve.

  • Maintaining a safe, organised and effective workshop environment.

  • Contributing to curriculum development so content stays current and relevant.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Industry experience within construction or a multi-trade discipline

  • Level 3 vocational qualification in a relevant construction trade

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate learners from a range of backgrounds

Desirable (but not essential):

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or DET)

  • Level 2 English and maths

  • Experience teaching or assessing apprentices

If you're ready to help the next generation of tradespeople build the skills they need to progress, we'd love to hear from you.
