Estimator Job in Wimborne We are proud to work with an established specialist manufacturer supplying bespoke solutions to the construction sector is looking to appoint an Estimator to join its commercial team. This Estimator role offers a great opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, supporting contractors across the UK. The Estimator role combines technical understanding, commercial awareness and problem-solving, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with detail and seeing projects develop from enquiry through to order. The Role * You'll be responsible for reviewing drawings and specifications, producing accurate quotations and supporting clients throughout the tender process. * Working closely with sales, production and project teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are commercially viable and delivered to a high standard. Key Responsibilities * Preparing quotations from construction drawings and specifications * Reviewing tender documentation * Calculating material, labour and installation costs * Liaising with clients, contractors and suppliers * Supporting the commercial team during tender submissions * Managing multiple enquiries and deadlines * Maintaining accurate records and project information * Assisting with project handovers following successful tenders About You You may already have an estimating background or come from a background in construction, fabrication or manufacturing. We're looking for someone who: * Can confidently interpret technical drawings * Understands the estimating processes * Has strong numerical and analytical skills * Works accurately under pressure and to deadlines * Is organised and self-motivated * Communicates clearly with colleagues, suppliers and customers * Is proficient with Microsoft Office applications What's on Offer * Salary dependent on experience * Full training provided * Modern, air-conditioned office environment * Full-time position (35–40 hours per week, Monday to Friday) * Part-time hours considered for the right candidate * Long-term career development within a growing business * Supportive and experienced team environment This is a role for someone who enjoys turning complex project information into clear commercial decisions and wants to become an integral part of a business delivering specialist solutions to the construction industry.
