HR Advisor Permanent
Hybrid Christchurch, Dorset Regular travel to Sheffield and Widnes (approximately fortnightly)

People are at the heart of this growing business, and as HR Advisor you'll play a key role in supporting managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle.
With a broad remit covering employee relations, recruitment, development and HR projects, this role offers variety, responsibility and the opportunity to make a real impact, alongside flexible hybrid working and a strong benefits package.
Key responsibilities include
- Employee Relations & Performance
- Managing disciplinary, grievance, absence management and other employee relations cases.
- Advising managers on performance management and supporting performance improvement plans.
- Conducting investigations and providing practical HR guidance in line with employment law and company policy.
- Recruitment & Development
- Supporting recruitment activities, including interviewing and candidate assessment.
- Coordinating learning and development initiatives and maintaining training records.
- Identifying opportunities to support employee growth and development.
- HR Compliance & Advisory
- Ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Assisting with the review and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Providing trusted HR advice to managers across the business.
- HR Systems, Payroll & Benefits
- Maintaining HR records and systems, including Cezanne HR.
- Supporting payroll administration, pensions and employee benefits processes.
- Producing HR reports and ensuring data accuracy.
- Employee Lifecycle & Engagement
- Supporting employees from recruitment and onboarding through to probation and ongoing development.
- Partnering with managers to understand workforce requirements and succession needs.
- Assisting with employee engagement, wellbeing initiatives and company events.
- Supporting HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the People function.
About You
We're looking for a confident and proactive HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships and delivering practical HR solutions.
You will have
- Previous experience as an HR Advisor, People Advisor or HR Generalist.
- Experience managing employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance and absence management.
- Good understanding of employment law and HR best practice.
- CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD would be advantageous.
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
