Our client is a well-established, successful business in Ferndown. They are looking for a driven and proactive Sales Development Executive to join their expanding sales team. This role is centred around generating new business opportunities, developing relationships, and building a long-term pipeline of projects across multiple sectors including education, leisure, commercial and retail. The role is heavily focused on sales activity and business development.
The successful candidate must be confident speaking with new clients, identifying opportunities and building relationships. Initially, the role will be office-based, allowing the successful candidate to develop product knowledge, understand the business, and build a pipeline of opportunities. Following this, there will be opportunities to attend site visits, client meetings, and work alongside Project Consultants to further develop accounts and secure projects.
Salary and Benefits:
- £32,000 per annum

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generating new business opportunities across multiple sectors
- Making outbound cold calls to contractors, architects, end users and specifiers
- Building and developing a strong sales pipeline
- Researching upcoming projects and identifying key contacts
- Developing relationships with new and existing accounts
- Following up quotations and enquiries to maximise conversion opportunities
- Working towards sales targets and KPIs
Minimum Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in sales, internal sales or account management
- Confident making outbound calls and speaking with new clients
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Organised with excellent attention to detail
- Motivated by targets and performance goals
- Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a busy office environment
- Self-motivated
