About the Role
We’re a growing construction and office fit-out business delivering exciting office refurbishment and interior fit-out projects across Dorset. We’re looking for a Junior CAD & Project Coordinator / Estimator with hands-on CAD experience who wants to develop a career in construction, project management, and office fit-out. This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll gain exposure to projects from concept to completion while learning essential skills in estimating, project coordination, and on-site management.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce CAD drawings for office refurbishments and builds
- Assist with cost estimates and preparing quotations
- Support project planning and on-site coordination
- Conduct site surveys and take accurate measurements/photos
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients
- Help manage project schedules and budgets under the Director’s guidance
- Ensure Health & Safety standards are followed at all times
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Some practical CAD experience (AutoCAD or similar) for office refurbishment and interior projects
- Exposure to construction, architecture, or fit-out projects is a plus, including assisting with project coordination and estimating
- Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with clients and contractors
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience in interior fit-out or refurbishment
- Basic understanding of UK building regulations
- Experience with cost estimating or site surveys
