Our well-established retail client based in Christchurch has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Retail Sales Advisor to join their expert customer sales team. You will become the best in the industry, offering knowledge and expert advice to ensure you always delight customers. The package on offer will incorporate basic salary, various commission levels depending on targets achieved and individual and departmental bonuses on targets achieved. You will receive a range of benefits which includes preferential discounts on products and free onsite parking.
Salary and Benefits:
- A competitive starting salary, with an uncapped OTE
- Working 5 days per week 9.00 am – 5.30 pm, and some weekends on a rota basis

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet customers who enter the store
- Give advice and guidance on product selection to customers through discovery and effectively process and promote instore offers
- Assisting shoppers to find the goods and products they are looking for, enhancing sales through add-ons and upselling.
- Work on the CRM to maximise opportunities and conversion, gathering leads and ensuring all follow-ups are carried out, therefore gaining the highest levels of sale conversion
- Communicate with customers both face to face and digitally
- Efficiently and accurately process sales orders
- Process cash and card payments
Minimum Skills and Experience Required:
- Able to demonstrate outstanding levels of customer service
- Demonstrate professionalism and enthusiasm to deliver a great customer experience
- An ability to work under pressure, to clear goals and targets while maximising opportunities
- IT literate with Office 365, Word & Excel
- Show initiative to work independently and within a team
- Problem solving ability
