The Role

This role will involve delivering engaging theory and workshop sessions, supporting learners through practical assessments, and helping students develop the technical knowledge, behaviours, and industry standards required within Carpentry & Joinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver practical and theory teaching across Carpentry & Joinery programmes
  • Support learners through assessment, tutorials, and progress reviews
  • Plan lessons, schemes of work, and learning resources
  • Maintain safe and organised workshop environments
  • Carry out learner interviews and initial assessments
  • Provide constructive feedback and support learner achievement
  • Support curriculum development and quality improvement processes
  • Liaise with internal and external quality assurance processes
  • Promote professional standards, employability skills, and safe working practices

  • Level 3 qualification (or above) in Carpentry & Joinery
  • Industry experience within site carpentry and/or bench joinery
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
  • Strong workshop management and communication skills
