Key Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Head of School, regional and national staff to drive school improvement.
- Supporting the Head of School to ensure the quality of education is delivered to a high standard and students are supported accordingly.
- Providing an example of excellence as a senior classroom practitioner and inspiring and motivating other staff.
- Lead, motivate, support, challenge, and mentor all staff to secure continual improvement, including her/his own continuing professional development.
- Have and create high expectations of staff and students.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, including safeguarding.
- Promote and secure a range of high quality extra-curricular activities within the school.
Requirements
- Teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or willing to work towards
- Degree or equivalent
- Maths and English to at least level 2
- Specialist teaching qualification in a chosen subject (desirable)
