Responsibilities

  • Practical Training: Deliver engaging Carpentry courses and hands‑on training to small groups of learners.
  • Tailored Guidance: Set up individual training plans, ensuring learners have the right advice, support, and motivation to succeed.
  • Skill Building: Help learners develop positive workplace behaviours, teamwork, and trade knowledge alongside their practical qualifications.
  • Positive Environment: Maintain a safe, structured, and encouraging workshop space that keeps young learners focused and inspired.

Qualifications

  • Trade Expertise: Level 2 (or higher) vocational qualification in Carpentry or Joinery, backed by substantial practical experience on the tools.
  • Delivery Skills: Experience delivering trade‑based training, tutoring, or mentoring others.
  • Adaptability: Ability to use a variety of practical training methods to engage young people with diverse learning needs.

No Teaching Qualification? No Problem! If you have the trade expertise, our client will fully fund, support, and guide you to achieve your teaching or assessing qualifications during your probationary period.
