A leading college is seeking an experienced practitioner to take on a key role in teacher training and curriculum development. This role will involve supporting and developing unqualified teachers, enhancing teaching methodology, and driving innovation in teaching and learning across the college.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage curriculum delivery to ensure high-quality learning outcomes.
  • Support and mentor unqualified teachers throughout their training.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies in collaboration with the Teaching & Learning Manager.
  • Work closely with Heads of School and the People & Organisation Development team to improve teaching standards.
  • Oversee mentoring support for teacher training staff at Uxbridge and Harrow Colleges.
  • Teach across a range of programmes, ensuring best practices are maintained.

Requirements:

  • Advanced teaching qualification (PGCE, DET, or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience.
  • Experience as an Advanced Teaching Practitioner.
  • Background in Teacher Training and/or staff development.
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted ITE & EIF Frameworks and best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in curriculum management.
