We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and passionate Science Lecturer to plan, deliver, and assess GCSE Biology and science units across health programmes within an FE College.

The Role

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging teaching and formative assessment for GCSE Biology and science modules.
  • Design, develop, and monitor comprehensive learning resources tailored to student needs.
  • Implement proactive strategies to boost student performance, success rates, and learning experiences.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for external examinations in line with awarding body requirements.
  • Maintain meticulous records of student performance and complete required administrative tasks.
  • Contribute actively to internal quality procedures and evaluative programme reviews.

Essential Requirements

  • QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching A Level, BTEC or GCSE Science
  • Strong subject knowledge in your specialism
  • Confident delivering both theory and practical lessons
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
