Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging and creative barbering lessons tailored to a diverse group of learners.
- Set challenging yet achievable goals to help learners reach their full potential.
- Create and deliver adaptable programs, including work readiness skills, to align with the needs of employers and the community.
- Keep up-to-date with curriculum updates and industry trends, ensuring that teaching materials and assessments are relevant and effective.
- Use digital tools, such as the College's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), to enrich learning and provide flexible access to resources.
- Track learner progress, offering timely feedback and support to ensure successful results.
- Foster an environment that promotes safeguarding, equality, and diversity, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Barbering is essential.
- Recognised teaching qualification.
- Assessor's Award (or willingness to train and achieve within six months).
- Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality learning experiences, including innovative teaching methods and effective use of digital tools.
- Strong record of managing learner data, achieving performance targets, and inspiring students through industry-relevant content.
