Are you an experienced and qualified plumber looking for a new challenge? An established training provider is seeking a Plumbing & Gas Tutor to deliver high-quality training and support to apprentices at its Preston centre. The Role

  • Deliver theoretical and practical training to apprentices working towards City & Guilds Level 3 qualifications.
  • Develop course materials and ensure training meets industry standards.
  • Support and assess learners, ensuring their progress and welfare.
  • Maintain strong industry links, participate in external events, and stay updated on sector developments.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory requirements.

About You

  • A recognised plumbing qualification (NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship, or equivalent).
  • ACS gas qualifications.
  • Industry experience within mechanical services and current knowledge of working practices.
  • A relevant teaching or assessing qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed, TAQA, or equivalent) - or a willingness to work towards one.
  • Strong IT, administrative, and organisational skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Experience in a similar training or assessing role is desirable. Knowledge of government-funded training schemes and vocational qualifications is beneficial. An Enhanced DBS check will be required.
