We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced, passionate individual to step into a pivotal leadership role as a Pathway Manager. You will be a manager first, taking ownership of student outcomes, pathway quality, and internal verification, while working in close partnership with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement.
Role Responsibilities:- Leadership & Management: Provide clear academic and operational leadership across the pathway, maintaining high standards of teaching and managing staff performance, reviews, and timetabling.
- Student Outcomes & Data: Take ownership of student achievement, retention, and attendance data, implementing targeted "at-risk" intervention strategies where needed.
- Quality & Assessment: Manage assessment processes, including the planning and undertaking of Internal Verification (IV), ensuring full compliance with awarding body regulations.
- Enrichment & Engagement: Coordinate student inductions, parents' evenings, and open days while promoting a robust programme of industry-linked enrichment activities and work experience.
- Inclusion & Safeguarding: Act as part of the campus safeguarding team (holding or working towards a DSL qualification) and champion an inclusive culture that supports SEND provision.
- Qualifications: A Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g., DTLLS, PGCE), or a Level 4 qualification (e.g., Cert Ed) with a commitment to working towards Level 5.
- Education: A relevant degree or professional qualification at Level 3 or above in a subject area relevant to the pathway.
- Experience: Proven experience managing a successful team in an educational or creative industries setting, alongside experience managing courses, data systems, and IV processes.
- Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to interpret statistical data to drive student improvement.
- Vetting: An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
