Are you an experienced Communication Support Worker, or fluent in British Sign Language and passionate about supporting learners? A renowned educational establishment is currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Communication Support Worker, providing signed academic and social support to deaf learners, both in and out of the classroom, promoting independence and an inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities:
- Working as part of the learning support team, providing constructive and structured support to deaf and hard of hearing learners
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to facilitate their academic development
- Contribute towards EHCPs where possible, suggesting adjustments where necessary
- Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the curriculum, incorporating the latest industry trends and advancements
Requirements:
- A level 3 qualification in BSL, or fluent in sign language
- Experience supporting Deaf or SEND learners
- Compassionate, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education
