Job Title: Electrical Tutor

Salary: Up to Β£45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (35 Hours per Week, Monday-Friday)
Role Overview
A national apprenticeship provider specialising in building services engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Tutor to join their Tyneside Training Centre. This position involves planning, delivering, and assessing theoretical and practical learning for apprentices undertaking the Level 3 Installation and Maintenance Electrician apprenticeship.
This role is ideal for an established FE Lecturer or Electrical Trainer with a strong track record of supporting apprentices through classroom theory, practical workshop training, and qualification completion.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality theoretical and practical teaching for Level 3 electrical apprentices.
Plan, sequence, and adapt lessons to meet individual learner needs, including support and extension work.
Assess apprentices' knowledge and practical skills, marking assignments and practical tests accurately.
Monitor attendance, engagement, and achievement, implementing timely interventions for learners at risk.
Contribute to curriculum development, standardisation, and mentoring early career tutors.
Requirements
Essential: Level 2 & Level 3 Technical Certificates in Electrical Installation, 18th Edition BS 7671, Level 3 Inspection & Testing, Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET/PTLLS or equivalent), TAQA/A1 Assessor Award, and a minimum of 2 years' teaching/training experience in FE or work-based learning.
Desirable: Level 4 CET / PGCE, NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical, ECS Card, and IOSH Managing Safely.
