Are you an experienced engineering professional looking to pass on your skills to the next generation? We are seeking a motivated Engineering Tutor to join our team. Industry professionals are strongly encouraged to apply, and a teaching qualification will be fully funded for the successful candidate.

The Role

You will deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students studying Engineering from Level 1 to Level 3, with a particular focus on CAD and CNC in workshop and classroom environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide information, advice and guidance to learners in line with College policies and procedures
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate engaging teaching and learning activities
  • Facilitate teaching across vocational and technical engineering programmes, including:
  • Planning, implementing and evaluating student induction
  • Producing schemes of work, course rationales and assessment schedules
  • Adopting an inclusive learning approach to meet diverse learner needs
  • Providing timely and effective feedback on assessments

About You

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering, CAD, CNC, or another relevant engineering discipline
  • Have strong industry knowledge and practical experience (teaching experience is desirable but not essential)
  • Be committed to supporting learners of varying ages, abilities and backgrounds
  • Be organised, inclusive, and passionate about developing future engineering talent
