We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Health and Care to join a progressive Further Education institution. In this role, you will deliver engaging Health and Social Care modules from Levels 1 to 5, helping to shape the future of the local healthcare workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver High-Quality Teaching: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging sessions across levels ranging from Entry Level to Level 5.
  • Support Learner Progress: Assess, monitor, and track student achievement, utilizing differentiated tasks to ensure an inclusive learning environment.
  • Maintain Compliance: Keep accurate records of attendance and progress in line with internal quality assurance and awarding body standards.
  • Collaborate: Work alongside the wider divisional and skills teams to support learner development, progression, and overall wellbeing.
What You Will Need (Person Specification)
  • Qualifications: A relevant degree (or equivalent professional qualification) in a Health-related area.
  • Teaching Credentials: A PGCE / Certificate in Education (Level 5) is highly desirable, though candidates prepared to work towards a teaching qualification will be considered.
  • Sector Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of WJEC, City & Guilds, or Agored qualifications, alongside the ability to deliver biology or health-based units.
  • Experience: Recent and relevant teaching experience, alongside professional experience working within the Health & Social Care sector.
  • Skills: Strong digital competency, excellent communication skills, and a learner-centered approach.
  • Compliance: An enhanced DBS check and EWC registration are mandatory requirements for this role.
  • Speaking Welsh is highly desirable, though not essential.
