We are currently recruiting Maths Lecturers and Teachers across South Yorkshire to deliver A Level, GCSE, and Functional Skills Maths within schools and FE colleges. Whether you specialise in academic pathways or resit provision, we have opportunities to suit your experience.

The Role

  • Deliver high-quality Maths teaching across A Level, GCSE, and/or Functional Skills, supporting learners to achieve strong outcomes and progress into further education, apprenticeships, or employment.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across your specialism
  • Teach A Level, GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths
  • Differentiate lessons to support mixed-ability and resit learners
  • Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Support learners with exam preparation and confidence building
  • Contribute to curriculum delivery and departmental success
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment

Essential Requirements

  • QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching A Level, GCSE or Functional Skills Maths
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to engage learners
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable

  • Experience within Further Education or Sixth Form settings
  • Strong results with GCSE resit learners
  • Ability to teach across multiple levels (FS, GCSE, A Level)
