Are you an experienced English Teacher looking for a new opportunity within specialist education? We are recruiting for an English Teacher to join a specialist education organisation supporting young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons.
- Adapt teaching to meet individual learner needs.
- Support learners working across a range of abilities.
- Monitor, assess and track progress.
- Support learners to achieve their English qualifications.
- Build positive relationships and promote engagement.
- Support positive behaviour, attendance and participation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and specialist support staff.
- Help learners develop confidence, communication and progression skills.
About You
- Strong English subject knowledge.
- Recognised teaching qualification such as QTS, QTLS, PGCE, Cert Ed or DET.
- Experience teaching English, ideally GCSE and/or Functional Skills.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Able to differentiate effectively for individual needs.
- Passionate, resilient and learner-focused.
- Experience working with SEND, SEMH, alternative provision or specialist education would be advantageous but is not essential.
