Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Engaging Learning: Design, plan, and deliver face-to-face teaching, digital resources, and tailored academic support. Bring industry expertise into the classroom while keeping course materials contemporary, rigorous, and student-centred.
- Track Progress: Provide constructive feedback on individual and class progress. Help students understand assessment criteria, suggest clear pathways for improvement, and facilitate learning through online resources and research.
- Elevate Student Experience: Evaluate your teaching sessions to continuously improve curriculum delivery and overall student satisfaction.
Candidate Profile
We want someone who believes in education's power to transform lives and thrives in a fast-paced Higher Education (HE) environment.
What you bring:
- A Master's and a PhD degree in a relevant subject area.
- Previous UK Higher Education lecturing experience and deep subject matter expertise.
- Proven experience supervising student work and providing actionable feedback.
- A successful track record of teaching adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong reporting and administrative skills for maintaining accurate student records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred (but not essential):
- A PGCAP, Fellowship of the HEA (FHEA), or equivalent qualification (or commitment to complete this within three years).
- Experience designing or developing academic or professional education programmes.
