Contract: Full Time | Term Time Only

Make a genuine difference every day. An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced education professional to join a specialist setting as an Assistant Head of School. Working alongside the Head of School, you'll play a key role in leading teaching, learning, behaviour, attendance and safeguarding while helping create an inclusive environment where every young person can thrive. This role would suit an ambitious middle leader, Assistant Head, Deputy Head, SENCO or experienced teacher ready to take the next step into senior leadership.

The Role

  • Supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the provision
  • Leading behaviour, attendance and pastoral initiatives
  • Coaching and developing teaching and support staff
  • Working closely with families and external professionals
  • Supporting safeguarding procedures and multi-agency working
  • Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to school improvement planning
  • Helping create a positive, inclusive and aspirational learning culture

About You

  • Experience working within education in a leadership or middle leadership capacity
  • Strong knowledge of SEND, SEMH or inclusive educational practice
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience supporting staff development and improving teaching practice
  • A calm, resilient and child-centred approach
  • A genuine passion for improving outcomes for young people
