What You Will Be Doing
- Targeted Teaching: Deliver engaging English courses to small groups of prison-based learners with diverse educational backgrounds.
- Individual Support: Create tailored training plans and provide guidance to ensure every learner can reach their full potential.
- Confidence Building: Use a variety of interactive training methods to keep learners engaged, focused, and motivated.
- Aspiration Raising: Help learners connect their education to real-world opportunities, supporting their long-term rehabilitation goals.
What We Are Looking For
- Subject Expertise: A Level 3 qualification in English (or equivalent) alongside substantial knowledge and experience in the field.
- Delivery Skills: Experience delivering training, teaching, or mentoring individuals.
- Adaptability: The ability to use diverse training methods to effectively engage and support learners who may have experienced educational disadvantages.
- No Teaching Qualification? No Problem! While a teaching or assessing qualification is desirable, full training, funding, and support will be provided to help you achieve these qualifications during your probationary period.
