A long-established, values-driven community organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Officer to safeguard its finances and support the delivery of vital services for children, families and the wider community. This is a trusted, hands-on role where your financial expertise will directly support sustainability, growth and positive social impact.

What you'll do

  • You'll take ownership of day-to-day financial administration while working closely with senior leadership to maintain strong controls and clear reporting.
  • Manage bookkeeping, financial records and databases (Xero)
  • Prepare budgets, expense reports and financial summaries
  • Support payroll preparation, expense claims and invoices
  • Monitor project budgets and petty cash
  • Maintain financial policies, procedures and compliance
  • Support senior managers with financial insight and admin
  • Identify efficiencies, manage risk and improve processes

You'll need:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Officer, Bookkeeper or similar
  • AAT Level 4 (minimum)
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero and MS Office
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

Desirable: Charity or community sector experience, business administration qualifications, ongoing CPD.
