Or an established FE Lecturer searching for your next challenge? We are seeking a passionate Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer to join our trade faculty. You will play a pivotal role in teaching practical skills, workshop safety, and theory to ambitious apprentices and full-time learners working toward industry-recognized qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds). What You'll Do Teach practical carpentry, joinery, and timber technology in workshop and classroom environments. Guide students through level-appropriate assessments, trade standards, and health & safety compliance. Mentor apprentices preparing for their End-Point Assessment (EPA) and entry into the industry. Design engaging lesson plans that connect traditional hand skills with modern site practices. What We're Looking For Trade Experience: Level 3 NVQ/Advanced Craft in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent site/bench experience). Teaching Experience: A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, Level 5 DTLLS) or a willingness to work toward one with our support. Assessments: Assessor qualifications (A1 / CAVA) are desirable. Mindset: Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine drive to inspire young trade professionals. Why Join Us?
