We are looking for an innovative and dedicated Lecturer in Instrumentation and Control to join a thriving Engineering department in the North East. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching, support curriculum development, and help shape the next generation of engineers within the fields of instrumentation, control systems, and automation.

The successful candidate will combine strong academic knowledge with relevant industry experience to inspire learners and contribute to a culture of excellence in teaching and learning.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver and manage high-quality, inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment in Instrumentation and Control Systems within the Engineering sector.
  • Provide both practical and theoretical instruction in specialist areas relating to instrumentation and control systems.
  • Support students in both their academic and personal development, helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans that connect classroom learning with real-world engineering applications.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the learner experience and support a diverse range of student needs.
  • Contribute to student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression through effective guidance and support.

What We're Looking For

  • Are a qualified Teacher or are willing to work towards achieving a teaching qualification.
  • Hold a minimum Level 5 qualification in Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Have GCSEs at Grade C / Level 4 or above in English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Possess relevant industrial experience within Instrumentation Engineering - Essential.
