About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lecturer & Assessor to join a vibrant and supportive Further Education team in West London. In this dual-focused role, you will deliver high-quality teaching across Level 2 and Level 3 Early Years qualifications, while also training, assessing, and monitoring Work-Based Learning (WBL) students and Apprentices within the workplace to ensure occupational competence.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach and deliver engaging sessions across Level 1 to Level 3 courses, including T Levels (Early Years Educator and Assisting Teaching pathways).
- Assess WBL learners and Apprentices in the workplace against national standards.
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and track achievement across full study programmes.
- Maintain high standards of quality assurance in line with awarding body (NCFE) guidelines.
- Build and nurture strong working relationships with local Early Years employers.
About You
We are looking for a dedicated professional with strong, recent industry experience in both Early Years Education and Care.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 NVQ/VRQ in Early Years or Teaching Assistant (a relevant Degree is highly desirable).
- Assessing Qualification: Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA), A1, or equivalent.
- Teaching Qualification: Level 5 FE-recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, DET, Cert Ed).
- Experience: Proven experience teaching and assessing Early Years qualifications within an FE or training provider setting, alongside recent practical workplace experience.
