A large Further Education engineering department is recruiting an Advanced Technical Trainer to deliver training and assessment to Bus & Coach apprentices. The role involves practical delivery for apprentices attending block release training, supported by modern workshop facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Bus & Coach apprenticeship training to required standards
- Deliver theory, practical sessions and assessments
- Carry out vocational assessments on-site and off-site (national programmes)
- Support and mentor apprentices throughout their programme
- Liaise with employer partners to support learner progress
- Work flexibly across wider engineering areas where required
Essential Requirements
- Industry experience in Bus & Coach operations, maintenance or engineering
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in relevant vocational area
- Strong training, coaching or mentoring ability
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of industry regulations and health & safety standards
Desirable
- Teaching or training qualification (not essential - support provided)
