I'm currently supporting a fantastic independent school that is looking to appoint a Recruitment and Compliance Coordinator to join their People team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with recruitment and HR experience who is passionate about safer recruitment, compliance and delivering an outstanding candidate experience. You'll take ownership of the full recruitment lifecycle while ensuring all pre-employment checks meet the highest safeguarding standards.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing the end-to-end recruitment process for academic and support staff
- Coordinating interviews, assessment days and candidate communications
- Creating engaging job adverts and supporting recruitment campaigns
- Managing pre-employment checks including DBS, right to work, references and overseas checks
- Ensuring full compliance with KCSIE and safer recruitment requirements
- Supporting onboarding and induction for new starters
- Maintaining accurate recruitment records and preparing compliance documentation
- Working closely with hiring managers to deliver a seamless recruitment experience
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience managing recruitment within HR
- Strong knowledge of safer recruitment and pre-employment compliance
- Experience coordinating multiple vacancies and busy interview schedules
- Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Confident communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the organisation
- Experience using HR systems or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- Knowledge of KCSIE guidance is highly desirable
