We are seeking an experienced and motivated Functional Skills Teacher to deliver high-quality English, Maths, and some ICT provision to apprentices across the Western region. This hybrid role combines remote delivery, home-based working, and on-site teaching, with all business travel, mileage, and accommodation fully covered when required.

The Role
You will deliver Functional Skills provision across Birmingham, Telford, Oxford, and Yeovil, working flexibly between remote and face-to-face delivery. Working patterns and travel vary - apply to find out more.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver engaging Functional Skills English, Maths, and some ICT sessions (online and face-to-face)
- Manage a caseload of apprentices, tracking progress and communicating with stakeholders
- Provide remote support for independent Functional Skills study
- Work closely with delivery teams to maximise attendance and engagement
- Conduct moderation and assessment sampling in line with IQA standards
- Support exam bookings, invigilation, and learner completion
Essential Requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
- Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training (DTLLS or equivalent) with English or Maths pathway
- Experience delivering Functional Skills in a post-16 setting
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
