- We are currently recruiting experienced
Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work in a Further Education (FE) settings across Havering.
We are looking for compassionate, resilient, and dedicated individuals who can provide high-quality support to students with a range of additional needs.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in
- General academic support within
- Secondary Schools or
Further Education (FE) .
- Supporting students with
Autism (ASC), Dyslexia, and Dysphasia .
- Providing personal care , including feeding and assisting with personal hygiene.
- Working with young people experiencing anxiety, suicidal thoughts, psychosis , and associated challenging behaviours .
- Delivering one-to-one and small group support to help students access learning and achieve their potential.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant within a Secondary or Further Education setting
- Experience supporting young people with SEND and/or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
