Learning Support Role - Newham

Role: Learning Support Assistant
Hours: Full-time / Part-time opportunities available
Start Date: ASAP

Pay - Β£17.50 per hour (Umbrella)

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming educational setting in Newham.

The successful candidate will provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils, helping them access learning, develop confidence and make positive progress. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and young people and making a real difference to their education.

Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored learning and classroom support to pupils.
Work closely with teachers and support staff to meet individual learning needs.
Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
Encourage positive behaviour, independence and confidence.
Assist with classroom activities and differentiated learning.
Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
Patient, empathetic and supportive in approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Passionate about helping pupils achieve their potential.
