About Us

Age UK Wigan Borough is a leading charity dedicated to improving the lives of older people across the region. With an annual turnover of approximately £1,000,000, a dedicated team of 45 staff and a range of impactful services, including information and advice, support at home services (home help and handyperson), and combatting loneliness and social isolation, we are a trusted voice for people in the community.

Each year, we help local people claim millions in benefits they are entitled to, provide essential support services and tackle loneliness and isolation. As we navigate a changing funding landscape and increasing demand, we need an inspiring leader who can drive innovation, secure sustainable income streams and champion our mission.

The Role

As Chief Executive Officer, you will set the strategic direction for the charity, ensuring financial sustainability while enhancing and expanding our services. Working closely with the Board of Trustees, staff, volunteers and stakeholders, you will lead on income generation.
