The successful candidate will deliver engaging practical and theory-based sessions across a variety of construction trades, supporting learners of different abilities and backgrounds.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering practical and classroom-based sessions in areas such as bricklaying, carpentry, plastering, groundworks, and general construction skills
  • Preparing lesson plans, schemes of work, and training materials
  • Demonstrating safe and correct use of tools, equipment, and materials
  • Assessing learner progress through practical observations and coursework
  • Supporting learners with additional learning or behavioural needs
  • Promoting high standards of health and safety within workshop environments
  • Supporting employability skills, portfolios, and progression opportunities
  • Maintaining learner records, reports, and compliance documentation
  • Supporting curriculum development and continuous improvement activities

Requirements:

  • Experience working within the construction industry
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in a relevant construction trade
