We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and passionate Science Lecturer to plan, deliver, and assess GCSE Biology and science units across health programmes within an FE College.
The Role
- Deliver high-quality GCSE Biology, supporting learners to achieve strong academic outcomes and progress into higher education, apprenticeships, or careers in Health and Care.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging teaching and formative assessment for GCSE Biology and science modules.
- Design, develop, and monitor comprehensive learning resources tailored to student needs.
- Implement proactive strategies to boost student performance, success rates, and learning experiences.
- Prepare students thoroughly for external examinations in line with awarding body requirements.
- Maintain meticulous records of student performance and complete required administrative tasks.
- Contribute actively to internal quality procedures and evaluative programme reviews.
Essential Requirements
- QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching A Level, BTEC or GCSE Science.
- Strong subject knowledge in your specialism.
- Confident delivering both theory and practical lessons.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
