We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated catering professional to join a quality team of lecturers and inspire the next generation of learners.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across catering, hospitality, food preparation, and service programmes.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning activities to support student achievement, retention, and progression.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring content aligns with current catering operations, hospitality standards, food safety, and industry practice.
  • Support students in developing practical culinary skills including food preparation, kitchen operations, customer service, and workplace readiness.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and quality assurance in practical training kitchens.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop employer partnerships with restaurants, hotels, catering companies, and hospitality providers to support work placements and employer engagement.
  • Support learners to gain confidence, employability skills, and industry-recognised qualifications.

Essential Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Catering, Professional Cookery, Hospitality, Food Production, or related subject.
  • Extensive industry experience in catering, hospitality, kitchen operations, or food service.
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  • Strong practical knowledge of food preparation, service delivery, food safety, and hospitality operations.
  • Ability to support learners with varied educational needs in a vocational learning environment.
