About the Role

We are a leading Further Education college dedicated to helping learners achieve their career goals. To support the continuous growth of our Apprenticeship programme, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Childcare Apprenticeship Trainer. In this role, you will use your industry expertise to shape the educational journey of our students, helping them develop vital employability, life, and learning skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Onsite Assessment: Carry out workplace visits across the region to review, measure, and assess apprentices' progress and competency.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Deliver up-to-date vocational knowledge, skills, and expertise both in the classroom and within the apprentice's work setting.
  • Employer Engagement: Build strong relationships with employers to ensure a high-quality learning experience, while proactively discussing additional training and qualifications to enhance their apprentices' training plans.
  • Student Support: Use your own industry background to mentor, guide, and support learners throughout their apprenticeship journey.

No Teaching Qualification? No Problem! We actively support industry professionals looking to transition into Further Education. Through our supported development programme, you can learn 'on the job' and earn your teaching qualifications whilst in employment. You will initially be enrolled onto the Level 3 Award in Education and Training, with the opportunity to progress to a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
