An FE College in the South East region is seeking an Automotive Apprenticeship Trainer to manage, coach, and assess learners progressing through their apprenticeship standards.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality training sessions aligned with automotive apprenticeship standards.
  • Manage a caseload of apprentices, conducting 1:1 coaching and tracking progress.
  • Perform workplace visits to assess apprentices directly within employer workshops.
  • Build and maintain strong operational relationships with local automotive employers.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification (or above) in a relevant automotive discipline or equivalent master technician industry experience.
  • Level 2 (or above) in English and Maths.
  • No prior teaching/assessing experience required; fully funded training (Level 3 AET) is provided via the Taking Teaching Further scheme.
  • Access to your own vehicle for site and employer visits is essential.
